says its for the 4R44/4R55/5R55 series... anyone have more info about this?

 

I installed that kit in mine. Works great. Only issue, minor at that, is in stop & go rush hour it shifts a bit hard from 1-2. I used the spring they recomended for the 4.0L, the one for the 2.3L, which is weaker, might have been the perfect match all around. It was an easy job with just the mess of the trans fluid being the factor to make it a few hours to do. When you drive it or drive it real hard it shifts like right now - no lag. It even downshifts better than it did. Doing this also allowed me to replace the valve body gaskets that Ford had an issue with too. Huge improvement and well worth it.

 

hmm...i assume a shift kit will void the warrerty though?

 

Mark, you probably get discounts on stuff like that, but how much would one expect to pay for a kit like that?

I have recently installed the same kit I'm hoping for good results also. they reccomend to add the epc valve on top if it has a spot for 1. the problem was that they never provided me with 1.so I left it as be4. my Question is if you had the original bonded gaskets on the cover plate. and was there noticeable wear. on the gaskets?
