Rear end applications for 2000 4x4
That would be a 28 spline 8.8, could be anything from 93(?) to current Ranger. The more important thing is matching up the gear ratios. You need to look at either the metal tag on the rear different (may read something like 8.8 3 L 73) or give us the "axle code" listed on the door jamb. Essentially you are looking for a match to that.
