Rearend Question

Ok i have a lil 4 cyl ranger that im running larger than normal tires on. I have to replace the passenger side leafspring pack so i deciding on putting in a different ratio rear end in it so that i can move the tires a lil easier any ideas? Also how do i identify the ratio of the rear end i know usally u can tell by one of the vin numbers... any help apperciated

should be a tag on the cover of the diff.


there should also be an axle code on the sticker on the drivers side door jamb

Ahh i seee thankee lots of great info over there..... hmmmm does the 8.8 rearend directly bolt in to the spot where my 7.5 is?

Oh geez it already has 3.73 in it guess im going 4.10 or 4.56. out of an explorer or ranger hmmm any suggestion im running 235 75 r 15 in place of the stock 14s
