Resurfacing flywheel

My truck is currently at the Ford dealer getting a new clutch kit installed. Today the dealer called and told me that the flywheel cannot be resurfaced that it must be replaced. They are saying that it is not because of wear but because the type of flywheel is not able to be resurfaced. Is this true or are they trying to get over on me? The ranger is a 2004 4x4 4.0 sohc with 5 speed

any flywheel can resurfaced , the dealership does not have a resurfacing machine

next time take your vehicle to a professional transmission repair specialist

^What he said.

Mine's been resurfaced twice. They either a: don't have a machine to resurface and automatically order new flywheel or b: are totally inept to remove the locating dowel pins and pilot bearing in order to machine it.
