Hello,

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger with about 220K miles that reqires the exension housing bushing and seal to be replaced. The bushing was moved out of place which pushed-out the seal and I need to know what the correct orientation of the bushing's oiling hole (with the transmission's tail end facing you). It look like it would either be on the bottom or to the right. The bottom of the bore has a channel and the inside on the right has a relief that goes about half way, which is about right for the hole in the bushing. I don't think it would orient to the channel on the upper left.

I want to go cheap and easy to see how it goes before replacing the extension housing. The bore looks basically ok.

The point is, I'm not certain which way it should go and I would appreciate your help!
