You guys are wrong on the prices. I have been searching lately and have found great deals locally. I buddy of mine just bought a dana 70 front and back with 4.56 gears for $200. You just need to be patient on what you are looking for and you will find what you want.

Thats most likely a Dana 70 closed knuckle and not worth the 200 he paid.

But I can get D60 fronts around me from 80 and newer trucks for 4-500 all day.

If you EVER see a kingpin D60 drivers drop (Ford) for less than 400, please send me the link....

Dodge and Chevy are cheaper as they are pass drop, but the Ford KINGPIN 60s are pure GOLD! I acquired one for some work I did, might be looking to get rid of it actually, as that is a serious front axle....not something I will ever need. They can fetch upwards of 1200, especially the non dual rear wheel fronts.

D44 gives better clearance, less weight, etc. Unless you really beat on it or are going to run 37+ stay with a 44.

As for the 35......not worth it's weight on scrap...it's on the level of the Ford 7.5".
Here's the best use I found for a 35....

I wouldn't wheel with anything bigger than 33s on a Dana 30. Under a Ranger, a D44 is probably all you'll need unless you really get extreme.

Thats a fair suggestion. I am going to be set with a D44 33's when I am done with my SAS. But I will be getting 35's not too long after that. Someday maybe I will get 37's but that will be when the truck is no longer needed on a Daily basis.
