Shifter in nuetral, my 98 Ranger is still in gear
My truck is in gear, and won't come out. The shifter moves to all positions, but can't take it out of gear. I think it's the shift tower that has disconnected, but I don't know how to reconnect it.
It should be a little ball and socket type thing, right on the firewall coming off the steering column in the engine compartment. push it back in there and but two zipties around it in an X formation.
