basically....idk what your trucks problem is. I go through them yearly....put 25k on 'em. Are you sure you are installing and bleeding it properly?? Have you ever replaced the master.

I had this problem with my truck. 3 slaves in the first 20k miles. The only solution I found was to sell it.

189,000 miles and only replaced once, 4k ago. And I dont even think the Slave was bad, we ended up replacing the master too. But both were needing it anyways.

that's where mine engages, almost at the top. Geeze I hope I won't need a slave soon. I have 37000 on my truck, I thought this engagement point was pretty much normal for the hydraulic clutch, my father in law has a 6cyl stang and his is the same way, doesn't engage till it's almost out.

Also people you have to realize that we are not running stock or close to stock clutches. We are running aftermarket high performance clutches. Our slaves can't hold up to it and buckle under all the pressure of the heavy duty pressure plates. And Charles im looking into the cable driven system. I could care less about having to stand on the clutch because ive heard cables are hard pedals but i think my best bet is to convert over to a t-5 trans since they are cable driven.

I doubt it will "bolt up" we will need new bellhousings or newer engines.

its supposed to engage towards the top...when it engages towards the bottom...that's when problems start happenin'....like....when you push all the way down to crank the truck over, the truck decides to move and feels like you're cranking on it with the truck still in gear.

i drove it til it was completely undrivable when my first one went. seriously...shutting it off at stop lights and crankin' it back on, clutchless shifting...the works.

whew, i was hoping there wasn't anything to worry about. So when they go bad, the seals fail and it looses fluid right? Reason I ask is my res is a lil low, but who's to say that it has ever been checked since new. I bought with 36k and I've put 1.5K on it
