i have the driver side cv shaft out of my truck. andddd
i have heard mixed things about driving w/o a cv shaft in the hub...
i have heard they keep the hub bearings from buring up and the wheel coming off yada yada yada... but that was from a live axle truck, what about a PHV truck?
i have rides to and from school but i would like to know if i could drive and not have to worry about it..

i was driving with the cv shaft attached to the hub and the other broken end ratchet strapped to the LCA.. i need it off so i can turn it in and get another one ordered w/o paying up front because i dont have 190 to put on a deposite
dont drive it.
unless you do what they said. btw i would have said screw you if they dont have the part yet you should not have to turn the other one in. what kind of parts place is this? they have to order it or what?

yea, i worked at autozone, and it depended on the situation.. but sometimes they had to pay ahead of time then when it got in they gave your money back..
anyways i brough the old shaft in this morning, they supplier was out.. they said they could take it and have it remade but that would take a few weeks.. so we got our money back and went to advance autoparts...
2-3 days ill be back on the road

as soon as i throw it in 4wd.. its gonna pop out
this last time, i got it apart and 2 of the 3 roller bearings broke off haha
i cant put it in 4 until i get ahold of RCD and order a new bracket... they were at SEMA Friday i guess, no one answered the damn phones..
then today i called and they said no one from sales or tech support was in the office, so its gonna be 2 weeks until i can go have fun

nope
fixed drop bracket haha
i welded it all up and realized i welded the 1/4" plate on the side that bolts to the diff..
between the adsence of that spacer on the cv shaft, and the extra 1/4" that the diff is pushed towards the passenger side, thats why its coming out, make sure you weld it to the right side lol
bc i wheeled the hell out of it b4 i came up here.. and this is all i changed so its all i can think of
