as the title says... coming from front end, thinking drivers side. jacked up the truck and theres no play in the wheel, u joint in front shaft? Did it for a long time but theres no shaking or anything while I drive. any idea? I replaced my tranny and it did it before and after that so I dont know what the deal is...

If you think it sounds like a chain rattling, could it be your timing chain?

 

And another one bites the dust.... I think my truck just started an epidemic of timing chains rattling, cuz ever since I replaced my motor Ive seen tons of timing chain related threads lol.

 

its only when Im moving though... would that still be the problem? abs light is on too, not sure if that has anything to do with it?

 

Check the tulip end of your front driveshaft for slop.

When my front driveshaft was going out it made a sound like that. Never did fail just made a bunch of noise.

 

thats what I was thinking. when it stops raining Ill check it out... just curious to fix it before I trade it.... :O
