i got a 4.0 but when i removed my starter it had maybe a hair of space around it. it wouldn't come out. i had to keep turning and rotating it til i found the right angle to pull it out. it was tight. but it will come. just move it around in different positions

It won't move at all though, it must be seized on there. Idk what to do. Is it possible for it to be engaged somehow in a way that it wont move. Im replacing it because it would just click and i found that its the starter

Are you sure you took the bolt out that has a stud on the one end and not just 2 bolts and 1 nut?

One of the bolts has a stud on the end of where the bolt head would be for a ground for the starter.. Look again.

Bigger hammer.

Sounds llike the gear is stuck engaged. Hit it harder, and use a drift to move it in the proper direction.
