stock exhaust

I have a glass-pack on my 06 ranger and the rest is all stock is there anyway to make it louder without having to redo the whole thing

Take off the glasspack.

the glasspack made it louder i also gutted the cat

all thats done is the gutted cat and a glasspack everything else is stock it was the cat that was closet to the muffler

I am saying take off the glasspack and run a straight pipe. That is the loudest your gonna get.

i did that but i sounded like a import so i put the muffler back on

Oh yeah I thought that is what you wanted. You aren't going to get a super loud and deep exhaust with a 3.0. Just not gonna happen. I would try and get a magnaflow muffler. 44 series would be louder.

my friend has a 90 ranger 2.9 v6 and he has not muffler nd no cats and has a deep rumble not like the stangs

A flowmaster Super 44 would be one of the best ways to go.

Other than that, a straight pipe is the loudest you will get.

Just get a magnaflow muffler and get that nice deep tone.

no matter what muffler you put on there it's going to be quiet, if you take your cats off and leave the glass pack on you'll be fine. not to mention a faster truck with more mpgs
