T-case Sensor??

I am assuming I have a sensor in my t-case registering that is in 4WD on my instrument cluster. I am having the issue that when I switch it out of 4WD and 4LOW the sensor is sticking and still reading that it is 4wd when clearing it isn't.

I have a manual t-case so I clearly know when I am not in 4wd.

Any ideas as to why this light stays on?

I eventually can get it off after some playing with it or after 5 - 10 miles of driving sometimes.
