T-case Swap

T-case Swap

ok i have a 1994 ranger 4.0, 5 speed, with auto or electric T case, i found a Manual T-case but it,s from a 1993 4.0 Auto trans, the qwestion is: It will work for my truck? also the manual Tcase doesn´t have the shifter.

You will need the tailhousing with the bolt bosses and the linkage is easy to find.

Ok tanks for the info, so can i take the tailhousing from the auto trans? or i have to take it from a manual trans wit manual T-case? Could be a newwer one like FX4 Level II?

your 93 should have the right holes in the tranny already my 94 did. since the pre 97 trucks were more common to have a manual tcase so most of the 97 and older trucks have the holes for the linkage. just get under your truck and take a pic of the drivers side of the tail housing and we can tell you if you have the right parts.

I will do, i,m at work right now... so you said the manual Tcase taken of an 93 automatic trans, wil bolt on perfectly on my 94 stick with electric Tcase?

It should. Just make sure its a 1354 case and not the 1350 case.

yep any ranger case will bolt to any ranger 4wd tranny

as long as its a from a 90 to 92 with a 4.0 it be a 1354 and any case from 93 up will be a 1354. everything else will be a 1350

I know that. Thanks. Just making sure he gets the right case. The 1350 would work but it is weaker than the 1354.

i figured you did just wanted to make sure he gets the right case too.

ok guys so i need a 1354 Tcase, how can i chek it? serial number or code in the T-case? because today i will go to the yunk yard.

yea if the front out put is a slip joint is a 1350 if it a u joint style its a 1354
