Torque converter question

Hey everybody thanks for all your help with my trans and radiator problem on my 01 ford ranger 3.0. But I have another question I pulled the trans and got another torque converter
I installed the converter I felt the first click spined the converter again and felt that it went in a little more but when I spin the converter it sounds like the back of the converter is hitting the bellhousing or pump is this ok any suggestions

Thanks

Did you put grease on the one the outside and inside lip of the converter?

I would pull the converter and make sure the pump splines and input shaft splines and clean and free of burrs. Same with the inside of the converter.
