tranny help- fluid line removal

I have a rebuilt tranny installed in my 2004 4.0 Ranger. Manual. I have to replace the fill line. Its the piece that you fill with brake fluid. It has a fill cap, goes into the firewall to the clutch pedal, then goes into the slave cylinder in the tranny.

How does that piece disconnect from the firewall? the haynes manual states nothing about it.

How'd ya do it? Not that I'll ever need to do it, but you've got me wondering.

Manuals fill from the side of the tranny.
But
Some have removed the shifter and filled from there.Have someone under the truck watching the fill plug on the side of the tranny for fluid coming out.

OOPs ! Too many beers I didn't read the OP right .

He's talking about the clutch system.
The line going to the master cylinder disconnects from it by removing a roll pin.
