yup , we don't have CarDone here in Canada , tried several places for the Dorman 600-931 ( the right one )...NAPA was over $400 , lowest i could find was $253...ended up going to Amazon Canada , found the dorman one on there for $194..worst is ; got to wait a week , but $75 is better in my pocket than someone else.
Hopefully it solves my problem...will post the results when i get er on , fingers crossed .

Well i finally received my transfer case motor today....put it on & tested everything with truck on jack stands ...low & behold " I HAVE 4WD "....the real test will come in the snow this weekend ; but things are looking good....it appears to be what Dilllard said.. a weak motor .,
Cant thank you guys enough for all the directions to figuring this out ; learnt a lot in the process..so thank you again & hopefully the new motor keeps the old girl going

That's good news & thanks for updating the thread with your solution;
let us know of any changes after you've driven using 4WD a couple of times.
These dang 4x4ShiftMotors are just barely big enough to do the job
& have old fashioned DC Brushes that just wear out too quickly;
same reason DC Generators were superceded by BrushlessAlternators way back in the 1960s.
It's an Edison DC Motor versus Tesla AC Motor sort of battle all over again;
a hundred years later, Ford engineers apparently did not learn that history lesson.

Well we had her a few times & all is working fine....looks like that weak motor was the problem ; goes to show you that even though something may look like its working ,it might not be doing the whole job .. Thanks you guys for all the help .
