Transmission?

I've noticed here lately that whenever i try to drive up a steep incline whenever i get pass a certain angle my transmission will automatically switch into neutral.. Is this normal?

Definitely not normal check your fluid level, maybe you'll be lucky and it's low and not picking up fluid at that angle. See if it's red and smells OK, which is good, or dark and burnt smelling which means trouble.

this is probably a really dumb question but is it supposed to be inside those little hash mark things or in between the two dots? either way i'm above the little hash marks but im still in between the to holes. The fluid is red.

I believe the area with hash marks denotes acceptable range, anywhere in there you're OK. Perhaps one of the automatic transmission gurus on here can tell you where to look next. Here's wishing you best of luck.

When you checked the fluid was the truck HOT and running in Neutral. The ATF expands when warm this is the way to get an accurate reading. I would recommend getting a Flush and filter change.
