My 1998 Ford Ranger 4x4 took a turn for the worse over the weekend. Out at the dunes in cali got stuck on the side of the dune went from 4-hi to 4-lo and lost everything no gears forward or reverse. The weird part was did not hear any grinding or anything. Pulled my shift motor it works fine. Where do I go from here? Have you ever heard of anything like this?

trans well that can be alot of things T-case might have snapped the chain
