Welcome to the forum

1995 to 1997 Ranger 2WD with 3.0l or same years Mazda B3000 2WD

Needs to be 3.0l for bell housing to match and 2WD for tail shaft to match

Regular cab or extra cab won't matter unless you need the driveshaft as well

They used the 4R44E until 2001, but in 1998 the speedometer sensor was moved from trans tail shaft to rear axle.
I think you could remove your tail shaft housing and the speedo worm gear on tail shaft and install them on a 1998-2001 4R44E but never done it myself

4R55E were only used on 4.0l so wrong bell housing, on automatics, and most manuals now, the bell housing is not removable without total rebuild..
5R44E is a 5 speed so your computer couldn't control it

Stay away from trans depot

I am a transmission builder and trans depot is close to me. They do horrible jobs. Read the reviews. I live in new port richey fl. I have had to fix many of there rebuilds. The way they get out of there warranty is you have to pull it back out and pay for shipping back to them and then back to you.
Sorry this was for another thread.
