my 2004 Ford ranger fx4 4x4 4.0l Level 2 , I have been having issues with my transmission. It all started with the O/D off indicator starts flashing after driving 25km or so, it's like clockwork when it happens, it does it at approximately the same time everytime. I have dropped the valve body and added a Transgo shift correction kit, changed the servo gasket and fresh fluid and filter. I didn't change the gaskets on the separator plate because my valve body separator plate has bonded gaskets that seemed to be in good condition. I also tested the solenoids but never replaced them. after all this it is doing the same thing. and it shifts perfectly until the O/D off light starts flashing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If OD light flashes there should be transmission codes set in memory, P0700-P0799

Not all code readers can access these codes, but the codes may give you a clue as to why the computer is flashing the OD light to get drivers attention
