Exhaust issues

So the new neighboorhood is giving me crap about my muffler so time to replace. I like the performance but i need to bring the sound down a few notches. I heard you can use a mustang GT muffler to quiet it down but not sure how that would work! i know performance usually means sound but any ideas how i could keep at least some performance gains but quiet it down! Any suggestions welcome!

the minute, if any performance gain is not worth pissing the neighbors off imo.
Unless you hate all of your neighbors then get something closer to stock.
My stock muffler is loud enough that feel bad starting my truck up to go to work at 5:30 am.

If they can't handle a 3.0 with a little exhaust work then I would say screw them. Put some train horns on it!!

That's pretty weak. Just neighbors or a hoa?

I had a plain Dynomax muffler on my '07... just enough to tell it was there but not overly loud!

My neighbors in my neighborhood used to complain about how loud my exhaust was, and then they realized that getting me * off is not a good idea. They called the police on my exhaust and I got an attorney to pull into account all of the illegal things they were doing, such as illegal fabricated structure on their property, over 5 vehicles (un-driveable) parked in driveway, they dropped the charges. I would say throw a Flowmaster Delta 50 Series on your truck, as when I bought mine it stayed throaty but was quiet enough. (mine is open now)
