truck has a kinda grinding noise

hey guys, so driving down the road my truck will make like a low pich grainding sound. The drive shaft also hits the metal shield on the gas tank, the transmission seems like its centered, but the drive shaft doesn't look straight. Its done this since the engine swap but the ginding sound is new, and it vibrates the whole floor board. Its an 89 2wd. four cylinder. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

Replace that drive shaft!
There balanced so it was probable put on wrong or it waa damaged or warped over time.

You have got to get that heat shield away from the driveshaft. Try to see if the tail end transmission mount is still good by either trying to lift it up or putting a jack under it.

I cant get the heat shield away without taking it off, I already tried that. If I lift it up or put a stand under the tail end how do I know its bad or not?

What you are looking for is to make sure your transmission mount is broken because if it is, the tailend of the tranny will move left or right. The tranny mount is made of metal and rubber like a motor mount and is bolted to the tranny and the crossmember. It should not move at all.
