I am getting ready to order a set of gears with an installation kit and the kit is off of american muscle. This kit is for v6 mustangs. they have a 7.5 10 bolt rear end, but i want to make sure they will work for my truck.

 

Go look under your truck and look for the tag on one of the axle bolts and make sure it says 7 5 on it

 

He has a 1989 Ford Ranger 2WD with a 331 Stroker and a 7.5 inch rear end.

 

Will this kit work?

 

If you have the 7.5 it should. I would double check just to make sure, but most likely yes. that tag will also tell you the current gearing so you know how much it's going to change the gearing. always double check

 

i already know it has a 7.5 with 4.56 gears
