wheel bearing grease.

I have recently replaced my wheel bearings and used grease that my stepdad uses. it says it is used for a bunch of stuff including wheel bearings. am i ok with this, or should i go through the trouble of repacking them with a real high temp wheel bearing grease?

Any grease is not fine, you need high temp, extreme grease. A couple guys on here have had their bearings wear out insanely quickly due to just using general grease.

I agree 100%. Parts store sold me "bad" grease, lost two sets of bearings in a couple months. Opened up bearings, grease was "liquified".

Got this stuff, never looked back.

You need to watch what you use because different greases have different temp and weight restrictions. Like was posted use a high temp heavy duty type grease.
