ok. i need new wheel bearings on my 98 and my local parts store said i cant get just the bearings i have to buy the whole hub assembly and theyre $195 each or 3-400 each if i got front abs (havent checked) anybody know if theres anything cheaper?

Did mine I just eliminated the abs, probably not the best idea but a cheaper solution.

 

I got two off of ebay for around 240 bucks.

They had the best prices i could find. FYI, abs units are cheaper than non.


They ebay bearings typically are the same ones sold at Yoyozone for 325. At least when i looked. YMMV.

From what I seen the non abs units are cheaper because there are less parts its the same thing between the two the only difference is in the abs one is it is drilled and tapped fro the abs speed sensor. Ia told the guy guy at the ford part parts counter I did mine like that and eliminated the front abs I said I would be fine just gotta be a little easier when braking hard becuase the fronts will lock up.

 

These prices change monthly, 2 months ago i bought a abs bearing for 175. The non abs version was over 180. If you look now they are both over 200.

Ford changes the price on these like it was oil.
