I was looking at doing a swap to an 8.8 axle because I always assumed I had the 7.5 but just looking around on info on axles I saw a chart for axle codes and I went and checked and it was R7 and apparently that's a 8.8 w/ 4.10's.

Why would I have an 8.8? I have a 3.0 edge 2wd. Also is this the 28 spline or 31 spline axle? And it's an LS so does that mean its a limited slip?

 

idk why you have that but yea im pretty sure the R7 is 8.8 4.10 and ls.... i believe thats what i have

 

I believe all Edge models came with the 8.8, and yours would be 28 spline.

 

perfect cam there you go now use that money you were going to use on an axle and get a locker
