It wouldn't block much of anything. My transmission cooler is barely visible when looking straight through the grille. Most of it is down pretty low. You can barely see it here:

Mine's blocked that much and still runs at 160-170 on warm to hot days. Peaked at 180 one time when givin her hell. It cools down very fast when cruisin on the open road though.. This was before putting my massive skidplate on, which blocks it even more, and it still runs at the same temps.

lower if you have a body lift. i got rid of my lights for 2 reasons. 1. blocking air flow and 2. i hit 200* one day without even realizing now im back to normal lol....guess u gotta be "luckY" idk lol

Lower with a body lit being even worse..right? I don't know whats wrong with your truck but up here people leave their winter "airshields" on their vehicles year round sometimes. They're covers that block airflow to the engine and even with em on the engine gets cooled just fine.
