as long as he doesn't engage 4wd, or have the hubs locked i think he could drive it. but i could be wrong.

a little too big imo. i like it and the price is unbeatable but i would want 4.88s and 35s or 37s. 39s are just too big.

If you knew ANYTHING about gear ratios, I might be offended by your posting.

As long as the gear ratios aren't too far apart, it's not bad. It's just hard on the transfer case, not the axles.

it's a difference of a few teeth on one gearset...

It'd make your tires "scrub" or buck if the ratio is far apart.

I might have an answer to what is up... I could't find 5.44 gears for a dana 44 axle (I didnt search that hard though) but I did find that transfer cases can have a 5:44 ratio. He probably just put the info in the wrong place??

Yeah I have heard of people running 4.10s and 4.11s no problem but 38 to 44 seems too big.

If I could *like* that post, I would.

Toyota guys that swap in 44's have to run a 5.13 or 5.38 up front and a 5.29 in the back. No big. You can have some difference and it'll be all good to go. Now, 4.11 in one end and 3.73 in the other....that's tcase bindage stuff and a ***** to wheel. You're always stopping and reversing to un-bind the case.

I've never heard of a 5.44 ratio and Yukon don't make it when I just checked. I assume just a typo.

He means exactly what he posted. Go to this little "not well known" site called facebook.com and see how people can "like stuff" that they think is good for whatever reason.
