04+ hood swap

Changing out my 02 powerdome hood to the 04+ style. Got everything painted and ready to mount up and noticed the new hood doesn't have anywhere to run the bolts through. What parts am I missing? Does it just use U-nuts?

This is called a U-nut, or C-nut: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/..._AC_SX355_.jpg

That looks like what that mounting was designed to use, although I have never seen that on hood hinge attachment
Generally the nut is welded to the plate, but this type of mount would allow for more adjustment, so possibly a better fit

I think you will also need the drivers side hood hinge and latch to run the 04 hood. The u nuts were removable when I went from a 99 hood to an 02 4x4 fiberglass one I got used.

Turns out the 01-03 hood mount flange faces inward so I will need the 04+ hinge that faces outward. Too bad the one I found at the junk yard was twisted from a collision, same with the latch.
