Ok I need some help, especially from you guys who may have an 06 with the 3 Bar Grille. I want to replace mine with a billet but I'm having trouble finding one because I need the shell and insert. Not a chrome shell but one that matches my truck color. THe only other option I see right now is to purchase an 05/05 grille from my dealer and then by the billet insert for that.

from what i see for the 06.. i say get the 04/05 grill surrounding.. and then get a billet for that. It's a direct swap (from what i can see). It's just two bottom clips and 4 top bolts.

 

is ur current grill color matched to ur truck or chrome? and if ur buying a new grill, what would u sell the one off ur 06 for?

 

My current grille matches the truck. Dark Shadow Gray.

 

I may go down to the dealer and see if the STX grille will fit on mine.

Ok get this, I just called my local ford dealer and said hey I would like to change out my 06 Sport grille with an 06 STX grille and wanted to know if it would fit. And the parts dept. said "UHHHH I dont know", so I'm then transfered to the body shop and they say "UHHHH I don't know either". Then the guy "says bring it down here and we will look at it". Cant they look at the other 50 trucks like mine that they have on the lot? What a joke.

I want to buy an STX grill for my 05 Edge

the delaer says its paint to match

is the STX grill just the insert that will fit in my black shell?

or will I have to paint a new shell ?




edit : what I want to know is can I put the STX insert in my stock black shell ?
