i don't think you can do a billet like that with a 06 shell unless you have a STX, or a 04-05 grille

Robbie is correct, you have to cut the bars out on the 06 for it to work. I would get a 04-05 grille and then put the billet in that.

If you're going to hack up a DSG grille, I'll trade you my chrome 06 grille for it then you can hack it up instead. :)

Don't buy t-rex brand, they're the lower end billets and don't look as good/not built as good.

boo.

I've seen a couple of trucks in our Gallery with the 06 grills that were cut to have the grill and they actually look really good, just have to take time cutting.

@Ranger_Envy, might be possible, you okay with riding around without a grill for about a week? lol

carriage works has a black powder coat version. Kevin put one on his truck and it looked good, but it needed a back drop- like a black screenwire- behind it to look great. You could see everything behind it without the screen.

Yeah I could probably be cool with that. I'll be swapping in a manual T-case and getting an 08 bumper painted and installed so there will be some down time for the old girl.

not anymore. too many different combinations to stock. It was taking too long to direct ship them from the manufacturer.
