2006 Ranger + tow hooks...

I was at the dealer this weekend getting my truck serviced and asked the parts department if I could order some tow hooks for my Ranger. They couldn't find a pair for my year. It's an XLT. Will an older year Ranger pair fit mine?

yea....they are the same towhooks from 98-08. Need to make sure you have the right front crossmember for them. I've seen rangers with out the crossmember.

Where's the crossmember located at \ what does it look like? I've got a printout from the guys in the Ford parts department and it shows where the hooks should be mounted but it's a printout of an '04 4x4. That's totally different from my XLT.

well if you look through the valance where the tow hooks would mount you she see a spot on each side where you could mount the tow hooks, there would be two holes facing you as well as one on top or bottom cant remember which

but i highly doubt you will have those mounting points

Now I'm bummed cause I know for a fact that I don't have them holes. Any aftermarket tow hooks that will work for my 2WD XLT?

go to an auto parts store( advanced here) and get the aftermarket hooks from there. all you need to do is drill two holes into the bottom of your frame
