i have a '99 ranger 2wd and it did not come with front tow hooks. i found a '99 ranger 4wd in the junkyard w/ factory front tow hooks. but it looks like there is another metal beam back there they attach to that my truck doesnt have?? is this the case? i can get them cheap and i would like to put them on my '99 but it looks like its going to be too much trouble..

did the 4wd's with front tow hooks come with a different metal rebar behind the bumper than the 2wd??

 

4x4s come with cross member that you are referring to as a "Metal Beam". You will have have that beam cut out, weld it to your truck.

 

ahh.. scratch that idea then.
