2dr ex.cab windows in a 4dr ex.cab truck?

i know you can swap the pop open style ex.cab windows between 2dr trucks. will they also fit a 4dr truck?

never seen it done, jus wonderin if the window opening is the same and if the pop open style windows fit.

i wanted to do this a while ago, but never looked into it.

i thought i remembered reading somewhere that they didn't put them in the 4 door rangers for a reason. i forget why though... then again, the reason might just be because Ford is weird like that when it comes to the Ranger...

i would say the reason was because of the full 4 doors.....

why would 4 opening doors effect the pop open windows is what i wanna know.

i know ill be on my own for interior trim, as im sure they are different with the hinges and latches, and having never come OEM on a 4dr.
thats not a concern at the moment though.

anyone KNOW if the openings are the same?

who knows why exactly they never offered them on 4 door Rangers......why did Ford offer a red truck with green interior

i do believe that the window opening is the same, but like you said, you will be on your own as far as latch mounting...

lol... that would be as pointless as me shaving the extended cab portion to create a single cab for myself.
