98 B-Series vs. 98 Ranger Core Support

I have already swapped over my 98 B-Series to 98-00 Ranger front end. To do this I replaced the header panel, headlights, and grill.

The Ranger header panel did not bolt right up to the B-Series core support so I had to drill new holes and was not very happy with how it turned out.

The Mazda core support does not have the clips to hold the Ranger headlights in place.

It is also difficult to adjust my headlights as the holes in the B-Series core support are not in the right place.

My B-Series core support is rusted anyways so I want to replace it with the 98-00 Ranger core support. I was wondering if the inner fender wells are the same on the 98-00 B-Series as they are on the 98-00 Ranger.

Will a 98-00 Ranger Core support line up correctly with 98-00 B-Series inner fender wells?

Will my hood latch and radiator still bolt up correctly?

I stole this picture from D94R to show you what I am talking about. I know this is the wrong gen of Ranger.

It seems like your corner doesn't really line up with the fender either, that might just be the picture though. Sorry I can't help but I love how your truck looks right now.

The Ranger lights don't fit the B-Series fenders perfectly but I am going to paint the recessed part of the fender black so it is not so noticeable. I like the B-Series fenders and bedsides and don't feel like replacing and painting the new ones so they will stay as is.

I really need to get a new core support though. Does anyone know if it will work with the B-Series inner fenders?

At wose you can bend it up and weld it in. You should b able to fab that up pretty easy. The lights dont look so bad I would not hack it up with black paint. It would look like BUTT! Maybe some kind of weather striping or a push bar that would hide it so it don't stand out so much. Black paint would ruin the truck and it looks so good.

For what they are, they're relatively inexpensive on Ebay. Not sure of the quality though
