I grabbed mine from a Mustang. Same as a Probe though. Easy to hook up. Mount under hood w/ bulb facing the front of the vehicle, add power and ground and you're done.

TrePaul rigged one up, it looks really good. Just need a little LED pod and a switch and wire that bad boy up.

If you do something like this, make sure you put a fuse within 10" of the battery.
I would use a 5 amp fuse for something like that.

I've already seen one truck on here get scrapped because of something like that.

Power for mine comes form the 5amp power mirror fuse in the CJB. I don't like dingle berries hanging from my battery.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...fan+controller

I was contacted by my insurance company a few months back that they just started the litigation process with the company at fault. I still have the fan, controller, wiring, etc from the fire. They said they needed it as evidence.....

I said I needed my $500 deductable before they'd see that fan.

My 92 XLT and my 93 XLT never had a light. Didn't even have a wire or harness for it.

i bought the 'mercury' lamp style from a probe. i haven't gotten around to install it yet though.

find a place to mount the thing, run and hide the wiring, find a constant positive source and a good ground.....voila

bob(rwenzing) has pics of his somewhere. check his cardomain page, the link is in his sig.
