I've been looking to get some newer taillights for my 2000 xlt ranger and have had no luck at all finding 06 or newer ones. I've gone to about 13-15 different salvage yards in the area so far :/ I'm begging to wonder if a its so hard to find them because this is a popular mod or b its because not many newer rangers have been wrecked, etc. hence have not yet made it to the recycle yards.

Interestingly enough two of the places i did go to had at least one of the lights used but they wanted $70-75 for them which is exactly what they cost new. Not sure about ford dealer as its probably even more. In my book its totally not worth it as id rather get new if have to wind up paying $70 a peice

Anyways just expressing my frustration. I'm also somewhat hopefully someone here might be able help me out and find a way to get them that I might not be aware of on the cheap.

parts.com = $77 a piece. thats cheaper than ford will charge you though.

 

Doh I just checked ebay again right after posting this(cant believe i did that) and found myself both for $104 total brand new. However there aftermarket made though. Hopefully they will work just as well :)

Now I just need to find some of the newer ranger badges/logos for less then the ford stealership. They wanted $15 a piece for all three XLT ones today coming to a total of $45.

 

I have aftermarket corner lights and they are OEM quality.

 

Yeah that's what these are supposed to be as well. I was just slightly worried about them possibly fading over time. Anyways I cant wait to get them now
