Bed swap. Step side to a regular.

Would i be able to take off my step side bed and put a regular bed on it. I searched a little bit but couldnt find a thread on it. I myself wouldnt think of any clearence issues or bolt pattern, but just to be sure, i wanna know if anybody else has done it. I think i have outgrown my step side phase. I like the look of the topper with the regular bed. I think im gonna go that route now. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I did it... easy swap and love it with the new bed.

Undo 6 bed bolts, take off bumper, undo wire connecter in the back, unbolt gas filler neck... possibly need to undo ground strap near the filler neck...if you have one and thats about it.

Not only can you do it, there should be no shortage of folks willing to trade beds with you. I prefer the "style side" as Ford calls it -- which is the bigger "standard" style bed. But many like the appearance of the stepside and want one.

You might want to post for a swap on here?
