Black Head and Tail Lights

I have read a lot of posts about doing this, and the pictures look great.

Where did everyone get the black lights? What are the brand names?

If you nightshade stock lights, how much dimmer are they?

Has anyone had them professionally done by a factory painter, instead of DIY?

Thanks for the responses. So most of them come with clear corners? I heard some of the pictures don't represent the item, and people got amber corners when they thought they were getting clear. I'd like to stay away from that!

No, those people just did the headlight mod. Or chose to keep the stock corners.

The ones I orderd off ebay came with the clear black corners not the amber. Just read the discription of the item and double check with the sell to make sure your getting the ones you want

Yeah, my pair off eBay came with the black corners as well. Just need to pay attention and read the auction details.

You can also add some matching tail lights to the truck too.

On another note, did anyone have a simple way to convert from the 2 lights of the tail light to 3? Splitting the single blinker/brake into separate bulbs for each. I had to do all kinds of splicing and soldering....but my buddy who also owns a ranger said that there is a much easier way to get the 2 bulbs to 3...

And I want to know now out of curiosity if I wasted alot of effort.

I think certain years you just change the harness out to a 3 bulb harness

hmm..that sounds much easier. :) I'm a little worried with all the wires and solder and tape, it is kind of janky. Despite all the work that it took, if there is a way to connect an older model tail light harness to my 03 edge I would definitely do that..

I can only find a 96 tail light harness on ebay.

anyone have experience with this?
