Anybody every try to make a grille like this for a ranger? I really want one, but has no idea how i should go about getting one made, or making one or who knows...
i was thinking about taking my grille, and some fogs to a local audio shop, and having them fiberglass it all custom. i wouldent think it would be too much cost wise, just got to cut the holes and make a trim ring.
The thing I would be worried about is the grill holding the lights, if the lights are too heavy and the housing heats up the grill it could make it weaker over time.
maybe, ill mount the fogs to the core support, and just make it where the grill has the opening that fit over the lights. that way the lights are fully secure and just poke through the grille.
idk, its more of a look thing for me so i want them to poke through the grill...just looks badass... i seen a white f150 around here with it, and it looks so mean...
Thanks kris, I'm thinking of picking up another grill from certifit and taking it to a audio shop with some fogs and seeing how much they will charge or fiberglass them in.
Yea I might see how much a shop would charge and then go from there. I really don't know how i would cut and trim run etc. Too bad mdf wood wasent water proof. Take a mdf speaker ring and mount it in the grill, cut it out and make it work. Hmmm....
Haha, that might just work. Just something weather proof and mountable to the mesh. Then I'll mount the fogs to the truck and not the grill, yet have it line up so the lights sit flush with the grill.
