How much did you have into your cap total. Price of the cap, paint, misc stuff? I still like the new MX A.R.E series cap and don't think it looks bad being higher than the cab.

My cap was white when i found it on CL for $400 with the carpet kit. I bought some paint for maybe $60 from a paint supply wharehouse and they tried their best to match the color. I did all the paint prep, sanding and taping. I had a friend actually do the paint in a his booth (so that cost me a 12 pack and pizza) then i finished with all the wetsanding. I also found the rack on CL for $100 and that was just a bolt on. So i didnt spend a whole lot getting mine set up. I didnt have the money so i searched and searched and found the best deal i could. I sure didnt want to spend the money on a new shell and then an additional $200 for them to color match it. I know some of the other caps are really nice, but since i was on a budget, i was happy with used stuff.
