Hey guys.. Ive been thinkin I want a new hood for my 98 ranger.. now I seen 2inch cowl hoods for 97 and down Rangers. but is there a hood for the 98-01 Rangers? I dont want anything too fancy.. just a 2 or 1 1/2 inch simple cowl.. anyone have any pics?

You could get a powerdome hood from a 2001-2003 Ranger Edge/XLT 4x4

 

Powerdome is what Im thinking.. I just looked at the other one.. I dont like how its lower in the center.. I would just want a basic cowl.. thanks for the post though.. anyone have a pic of a 98-01 with a powerdome?

 

it looks good jsut look at my hood its on 03 with powerdome its a mean lookin hood i say.. for being stock

 

Yeppers.......I like my 01 powerdome hood. Too bad they haven't kept the same height for the 07's.....can't even call that a powerdome.

 

www.stylinconcepts.com has one too. i was looking to getting one for my 01. From What I hear, its functional and is good at defrosting windshields lol

This is the best looking one that I have found. Well in my opinion anyways. If I had something to do with my stock powerdome hood, I'd buy this one. There's someone on here that has one and he told me it was functional and open on the back side.

i know where one scoop is that is already painted in Sonic Blue, was suppose to go on firefighterjosh's truck when he wrecked it. he said that they found him a cowl hood for his 04 i told him they didnt and that no one makes it for the 04+ yet. come to find out it was for an 01-03, morons never test fitted it until it was painted.

i hear its for sale but idk how much they would want for it.

 

I wish someone made a shaker hood for the Rangers.

 

i just like my powerdome hood. i dont see the advantage in a different hood.

 

i dont think there is one other then the "looks" aspect. I guess it just depends on how expensive your taste is lol

 

i think a functional one only really comes into play if u race...

i want a fawkin cowl so bad..if i could find a cheap hood..id hack and mold one and make it fiberglassin it in..but im not doin it to my hood i want a spare (:
