dent removal
dent removal
Hey guys
I just waxed my truck and I noticed a lot of door dings and the dents I had seem to stand out more so what is the best way to remove the dents without having to use a stud gun and have to repaint. I heard about PDR (Paintless dent repair) and learned a few of the techniques and I was going to try dry ice or hair dryer and some liquid c02.
has any one used this or know if will damage the paint?
and any other methods would be great.
thanks

When I got my truck I saw it had over a hundred dents over the entire body due to a hail stor from Katrina when it was in Tennesee. I took it to a Dent King and they used dry ice and a tool to pop the dents out. Dont know how hard it was or anything like that becasue I was in school when they removed them all, but it worked. I looked it over with a light afterwards and I couldnt see 1 dent they missed. The dry ice worked wonders.
Here is a link with some vids on it

I cant believe my eyes but they both seem to work

a 36" Craftsman Pry bar did the job for me...
for the most part, it needs a little more work

then again i had plenty of room to shove it in there and i wasn't too worried about the outcome.
you could try the dry ice i heard that works decent

my dad had a PDR business for a few years a while back. If it were me I would pay somebody to do it. Its all to easy to cause more harm than good. You start working that dent out an next thing ya know you have a high point instead of a dent.
Do your dents have any creases in them?
