Diamond Plate

I was thinking of custom making a grille for my ranger made out of diamond plate. But then I thought that no air would get through a diamond plate grille and get to the radiator. What do you think? good idea or bad?

very bad idea it would overheat when on the freeway
try using mesh or just buy a grill
