Edge Valance Fit?

I read something about the Edge Valance. I have a 2002 ranger xlt and like the look of the edge with their color matched lower valance and grill and round fog lights. I wanna do this to mine. I heard that I would have to purchase a 2002 4x4 ranger bumper for the valance to fit. Is this true? That sure would be sweet! I like the way the edge's look!

Depends, is yours a 4x4 or a 2 wheel drive?

I have an 01 xlt, and i did the valance swap. I bought the edge valance, and upper bumper so the entire thing matched my truck color.

If you get an XLT 4x4 bumper it is chrome. Where as the edge has a color.

If your truck is a 2wd and you wanna keep your stock bumper but replace your valance with the edge, you will have to modify the edge valance a bit because the ends of it flare up, and mount into the bumper, where as on a 2wd the stock valance is straight across.

Ok....Since you don't have a sig, and didn't mention if you have a 4x4 or 2wd......

In order to have an EDGE lower valence, you'll have to have either a EDGE upper bumper or a 4x4 XLT upper bumper. If you already have a 4x4 XLT, the EDGE valence will bolt right up. If you have a 2wd XLT, it won't fit. There's a "notch" right infront of the wheels, where the bumper meets the body. You'll have to get a 4x4 XLT or any EDGE upper bumper in order to put on the EDGE valence.

here is an XLT/Edge valance on a stock 2wd bumper

Notice the ends near the wheel well dont flare up. Its been cut to fit the stock bumper.

Now on the stock 4x4 XLT/ Edge bumper/valance if you bought both to fit.

Notice the flare up by the fenders. Thats how it is stock, and like said above, there are tabs on that part to attach into the bumper
