Fiberglass fenders...
What fiberglass fenders do you suggest for me?? They are going on my 07'. What I plan on doing is running 35's by taking out my bodylift, taking off my superlift and in the front putting on 3in lift spindles. I'll be going 5" wider on each side with 2" coilovers. I would go 2.5" coils but the 2" will be easier to fit and the guy I talked to at a shock company said they will be fine for what I do. In the rear I plan on taking out my superlift blocks, leaving stock blocks but adding 63in chevy springs with my stock shackles. That should be within an inch of the front. For rear fenders until I get fiberglass, i'm just going to "flare" them. Meaning extend them out so my tire tucks inside of them. So what front fiberglass fenders do I need that aren't super expensive? I'm thinking 4.5-6" wider than stock and i'm not sure howmuch higher up I want them to be cut than stock. I would prefer if the fenders don't bulge up over the hood.

So you're converting to 2wd?
Get a good name brand...they'll have high quality thick fiberglass. |

http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/...der-p-252.html http://www.camburg.com/fiberglass.html Which one is best?? Are they all good or would you guys not recommend them? Yep, converting to 2wd... |
IDK, go for the camburg. It only has wider, not higher bulge. The second link is for converting 93-97 rangers to newer style.
But i'm sure some guys who've actually bought some will chime in and give their two cents.. |
Why not start with a 2wd?
I'm sure you could sell yours, find a 2wd, and have money for the craziness!! |
idk... I love my truck and don't wanna sell it... Just want something new to do. Getting taxes back very soon and I have saved more money as well... idk. wanna be different... I can't ever imagine selling my ranger!!
|
What about selling your superlift and buying another beater 2wd. Converting to 2wd will kill your resale value on your current truck.
|
so you were gonna sas it
then you got a yoda and decided not to touch the ranger then you wanted to sas it again apparently you gave up on that idea.. 3" of lift is not enough to run 35s w/o rubbing but w/e, go for it, void some warranties, I'm assuming your gonna use some of your buddies long travel arms? |
I re-did the second link...

You arent gaining anything performance wise by going from the superlift to lift spindles. The ONLY thing you are doing is losing 1" of travel and losing your 4wd capabilities. Actually, you MIGHT be able to squeeze another inch of travel or so out of the setup without having the cv's in there, but ultimately you would be better off puttng a decent shock up there with the superlift and calling it a day. Edit: I believe camburg and poly performance both sell glassworks, so you are comparing all of the same fiberglass. You can look at fiberwerx or mcneil for other glass, but the glassworks is the best in my opinion. |

How much are you looking for all of your 4x4 stuff minus the 3.73s?
|
I was thinking of just trading someone all of my 4x4 frontend parts for a 2x4 frontend with 3" lift spindles and if shipping is required, it's not at my expense. I think this is a fair trade...
|
thats a hell of a deal lol, pending shipping i suppose.
diff drive shaft brackets knuckles axles bearings all of that? |
include the t-case?? Maybe its time for me to upgrade to 4wd....

I seriously can't believe you're doing this.
Keep it man. Buy another 2wd ranger and start over from scratch. Don't waste your time on your truck. Seriously. |

I'm going to have to agree with the "this is retarded" group.
Not exactly what I would do if I still lived in that part of Oregon. Seems like a stupid move to me. |
DBR kit...
