Fiberglass or Metal?

I've been calling around trying to find a Powerdome hood and the guys keep asking me if I want the fiberglass or metal hood. I thought the Edge Powerdome was a heavy steel hood. Is that wrong, or is there more than one kind of Powerdome?

I believe that the edge hoods are fiberglass. I am guessing that you want the fiberglass one. But it is heavy.

IIRC reading from another site the Edge hood is actually a composite material.Neither fiberglass nor aluminum.

I guess that makes sense, either way it's not metal right? A couple of places called it a "plastc" hood. So it sounds like that's the one I'm looking for.

If you want to get technical, the Powerdome hood is an aluminum honeycomb composite. So it IS both aluminum and fiberglass. lol

it is a mix, i only know this bc when my hood got hit with a pole i could see what it was made of, it didnt rust but i could tell there was metal in it, i think that you can weld to it, at least thats what the guy at the body shop told me
