Icon2 Best way of getting spray paint off grille?

Previous owner spray painted the chrome grill black.

Good thing is he didn't scuff the chrome so the chrome undernethe isn't destroyed,

I have acetone and a rag but it's KILLING me how long this is taking to rub/scratch off...

Can I use paint thinner? I'm not too concerned with damaging the chrome undernethe honestly.... I have a new grille on order since I didn't know the above last week.

Is there something that I can spray that will take the paint right off? I plan on getting this one matched to the body so the black paint/chrome can come off... I just don't want the plastic persay to completely melt away...lol

Thanks,
-Nigel

If you are going to have it color-matched, then you will probably want the chrome to be completely gone anyways.

As the above posts stated, sand paper + aircraft stripper.

sand paper. If you do NOT care about the chrome. youre going to have to sand it when it gets color matched so no worries. just use 400+ grit and different angles of attack
