Need help - Spray painting Grille

I think I saw someone on here that had a newer black Ranger that spray painted their grille silver. Unfortunately, I cannot remember who did this and cannot find the thread using the search function.

If anyone has pics of this I would appreciate it.

Also, is this an easy task?
For anyone who has done this mod, do you have any tips for me?

Thanks!!

Aye yi yi, I hope you have alot of patience for this one my friend. Remove all the screws out of the top of your grill and pull the 3 black plastic pieces off the center and above each headlight. Then take a heat-gun (or in my case, a hair dryer) and a flat-head screwdriver and feel around the back for some little tabs that poke through the grill from the grill shell. Heat them up to soften them a little bit and then try and pry them out with the screwdriver while pressing firmly, but gently (doesn't make much sense, I know. I was just always afraid of breaking the damn grill shell). The tabs will pop off relatively easily off the sides. Once I got about 3-4 tabs off on each side, I just pushed very firmly on the bottom and it all came out. Washed it with dish soap in the bath tub, primed it, and then shot a few coats of chrome paint on there. I've repainted it once, and probably need to repaint it again, but from anymore than 2-3 feet it looks great. Be sure to remove the ford emblem so you don't get paint on it.

It took me quite some time, and I was ready to do this

and this:

but finally I got this:

And it turned out like this!

Not hard, just time consuming and a little frustrating at times! Great mod though it looks a million times better than that ugly gray!
